Our Team

Nsa Archibong is a professional Social worker with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Calabar, Nigeria. She is very knowledgeable on issues of Sexual and Reproductive Health, Leadership and Community Mobilization for Social Action. Her work experience spans through various organizations such as Girls Power Initiative Alumni Association, Dreamboat Theatre for Development Foundation, Global Youth Coalition on HIVA/AIDS, Cross River State House of Assembly and  World Youth Alliance as well as the Afterschool Peer Mentoring Project where she joined in  February 2010 as Project Assistant. Currently she is the Project Officer of the AfterSchool Peer Mentoring Project.

 

Donald  Henshaw is a health professional and a community development practitioner. His passion and involvement in several community development initiatives has gained him an extensive hands-on exposure in project design, implementation and evaluation of performance. Previous experiences include working for Creating Local Connections West Africa – a project of Taking Information Technology Global (takingITglobal; TIG).He also worked with the National Focal Point of the Global Youth Coalition on HIV/AIDS for two years.

He holds BMLS (Hons) in Medical Laboratory Science from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Nigeria; and Diploma in Computer Information Technology from Logical Operations Computer Institute, College of Health Technology, Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria. Currently , he heads the Knowledge Management Unit of the AfterSchool Peer Mentoring Project.

Bernedette Assim-Ita– holds a  Bachelor’s Degree in  in Social Work from the University of Calabar. She has working experiences with Organisations Such as World Youth Alliance(WYA),Student World Assembly(SWA), Cross River State House of Assembly, Creating Local Connections West Africa-Nigerian Project (CLCWA),Global Youth Coalition on HIV/AIDS (GYCA) where she co-authored the UNGASS National Youth Shadow Report.
She is Passionate about Change,transformation and Possibilities and currently works at Afterschool Peer Mentoring Project as Project Assistant.

Esther Eshiet is a Sexual & Reproductive health /Rights Expert with special interest in advocacy for economic rights and policy. With over 7  years work experience which  spans through organizations such as Girls’ Power Initiative (GPI) Youth Action for Change(YAC), Planned Parenthood Federation of Nigeria (PPFN) and the Global Youth Coalition on HIV/AIDs (GYCA)Where she served as National and Regional Focal point for West Africa in 2007 and 2008.During her tenure as GYCA Regional Focal point, she passionately led  12 West Africa National Focal points.

She holds a Bachelors Degree in Social Work from University of Calabar and alumni of  Girl Power Initiative (a 3 year sexuality and leadership educational programme).  As a passionate Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights Expert, she has volunteered on numerous local  and international projects ranging from being the Lead -author of the UNGASS National Youth Shadow Report  presented the  UN General Assembly Special Session on HIV/AIDS ,2008 and a Steering Committee Member of the UNAIDS #CrowdOutAIDs Project, 2011-2012.  Esther is a 2010 Fellow of Moremi Initiative, Founder -Afterschool Peer Mentoring Project and in October 2012 she came a  Fellow of the Commonwealth Youth Exchange Council.
