ATTEND- UN International Volunteer Day 2014 in Calabar

LogoIVDTop Nigerian actress Kate Henshaw and renowned blogger and political commentator Japheth Omojuwa are both billed to participate in a panel discussion as LIT launches the Hands-On Nigeria project in Calabar, Cross River State. Also confirmed to feature on the panel is Edak Iwuchukwu – Commissioner for Women Affairs, Cross River State.
The event which is expected to bring together volunteers, NGOs, corporate organisation, academics and government leaders has the theme – People’s Participation in Community Development. The discussants will have a half hour to offer perspectives on the theme.
The event is scheduled to take place on the UN International Volunteer Day (5th December) at the CBN South-South Entrepreneurial Development Centre in Calabar. The Keynote address shall be delivered by Prof. Pat Utomi with His Excellency, Senator Liyel Imoke, Governor of Cross River State as Special Guest of Honour.
