Citizens’Health Education and Development Initiative (CHEDI) is a Non Governmental Organization is focused on creating awareness and visibility through education and policy influence on Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR)in Nigeria.

The mission of the organizational hopes to improve the quality of life of community members by empowering the Citizens with the right knowledge and skills to take
responsibility for their well-being.

CHEDI envisions   country where every citizen’s sexuality and choices are respected irrespective of race, age, gender, education, social status or disease condition. CHEDI’s programme goal is to empower women and men and particularly young people to actively participate in community development and self-help activities that will optimize health and well being through their own efforts. It also target women, young people and most at risk populations (MARPs) on comprehensive reproductive health including family planning, HIV prevention, with emphasis on Mother to Child Transmission, counseling/testing,capacity building, nutrition and referral linkages.
CHEDI programme offices are in Abuja,Nasarawa and Imo states.
CHEDI seeks to engage volunteers who can use their profession to carry some tasks leading to the desired results of all Programme interventions.
CHEDI is looking outstanding young men and women with exceptional qualities and leadership potential to organize, plan and implement programmes. Applicant
must be between 19 – 35years of age.

How to Apply: Interested Applicants should send their
Curriculum Vitae (CV), two recommendation letters and two page Motivation letter  on their involvement in any area of HIV/AIDS and Sexual and reproductive health and other issues affecting young people in 21st century.

Educational degrees and other qualifications at graduate levels- health Education, public health, administration or management,
Economics or a combination of equivalent relevant experience and education.
-Minimum of 1 or 2 progressive years experience and RH/FP, SRHR or MCH, or integrated health projects. Demonstrated competence in assessing priorities and in managing a variety of activities in a timely and sensitive manner, and in meeting deadlines with attention to detail and quality.

-Demonstrated ability to lead a technical team to meet project objectives in multiple tasks.

-Proven ability to communicate well with, motivate, guide, and direct interventions.
