Call for applications: 2013 ICASA Youth Pre-Conference

We are glad to announce a call for participants for the ICASA 2013 youth pre conference happening from the 4th – 6th December 2013 in Cape Town, South Africa. This preconference precedes the main conference which is from 7 -11 December 2013. The application period is between 18th September and 2nd November, 2013. Please submit your application before close of business hours, GMT on 2nd November 2013.

Overview of 2013 ICASA and Youth Pre-Conference

The International AIDS Conference in AIDS and STIs in Africa (ICASA) is a key event on AIDS for the African continent. It’s a gathering of actors involved in the HIV/AIDS response. The XVII Edition of ICASA will be held in the city of Capetown, South Africa.

This will be preceded by the Youth Pre Conference, to be held under the theme: “Now More Than Ever – Getting to Zero: for youth, by youth, with youth

Discussions will cover issues on:

  1. Leadership
  2. Accountability
  3. Participation

Organization of the ICASA Youth Pre-Conference is overseen by a Youth Steering Committee that comprises of representatives of different working groups

There will not be a Microsoft Word application. All applications will only be accepted through this form. We recommend you write your responses to the questions in this application form before hand and then sign in to paste your responses and submit your application.

Applications are open to young people between the ages of 15 to 35 years of age.

After the closing date of 2nd November 2013, this application form will no longer be available. All applicants will receive a response on their application by 15th November 2013 on selection.
