Call for nominations: EXCELL Awards (Excellence in Leadership for Family Planning) 2013

ifp 2013The organizers of the 2013 International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP) are pleased to announce a conference award and recognition system to celebrate progress being made to increase access to voluntary family planning information and services.

The first ever EXCELL Awards (Excellence in Leadership for Family Planning) will recognize stakeholders operating at the country, organization/facility, and individual/team levels.  Award recipients will be announced and publicly recognized during the closing ceremony of the ICFP in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.  It is envisioned that the EXCELL Awards be a long lasting source of healthy competition and celebration within the family planning field, showcasing outstanding performance and inviting a meaningful dialogue regarding best practices.
Nominations are welcome through September 20, 2013!  Please consider submitting nominations, and encourage others within your organization and networks to do so as well.  More information about the awards and nominations process can be found here.
Sign-up to sit with a CEO. If you are a mid-career professional or youth you are eligible to sign-up to sit with a CEO and discuss a current hot topic in the field of family planning and reproductive health. Visit our website to see the list of CEOs participating and sign-up for a seat. There are only 9 spots at each table and it is first come first served for those eligible.

Hosting an Auxiliary Event. If your organization would like to host an auxiliary event at the African Union Conference Center, please apply for space here. If your organization is hosting an event off-site please complete the off-site auxiliary event form to ensure your event will appear in the conference program, on the website, and in email announcements.

Register for the conference. Early bird registration ends September 30th, so be sure to complete your registration this month. All attendees need to be registered and payments received prior to November 1st.
