Call for Applications: Fellowship Opportunity with The DO School
The DO School offers a unique one-year program for emerging social entrepreneurs who look for training, mentoring and empowerment to start their own ventures. Selected Fellows receive a full scholarship covering the tuition fee for the year.
From June 28th to September 15th 2013 the DO School invites applications from motivated individuals aged 21 to 28 from around the world to participate in the DO School Sustainable Cup Challenge. Successful applicants will show exceptional motivation to contribute to solving the Challenge and developing and starting their own social venture and come from fields including: sustainable product design, campaigning and branding, environmental activism, recycling and waste management.
Selected Fellows will spend the first ten weeks of their one-year program on the DO School pop-up campus in New York City from February to May 2014, and the following ten months in their home countries implementing their own ventures.
THE DO SCHOOL SUSTAINABLE CUP CHALLENGE
The goal of the Sustainable Cup Challenge is for the selected Fellows to create an innovative and sustainable to-go cup, as well as a related infrastructure and campaign for New York City. To help with answering to the Sustainable Cup Challenge, Fellows will learn from leading experts about a variety of topics including the environmental impact of materials and packaging as well as recycling systems.
By solving the Challenge Fellows will have learned hands-on how to turn an idea into action. At the same time, Fellows work on developing their own venture idea into a viable social venture plan that is ready for implementation during the following ten months in their home countries.
